Signia ThinTube Adapters
Signia ThinTube adapters are small connection parts used between compatible Signia BTE hearing aids and their thin tubes. The adapter helps hold the tube securely in place and creates the correct connection between the hearing aid and the sound tube.
Different Signia hearing aid generations use different adapter systems, so it is important to choose the adapter that matches both your hearing aid model and ThinTube type.
What does a Signia ThinTube adapter do?
On compatible Signia BTE hearing aids, the ThinTube does not always connect directly to the hearing aid housing. Instead, an adapter forms the connection between the two parts.
This allows the ThinTube to sit securely on the hearing aid while maintaining the correct sound path from the hearing aid into the tube and towards the ear.
The adapter itself does not sit inside the ear and should not be confused with an eartip, sleeve or dome.
Signia ThinTube Adapter H2940
The Signia ThinTube Adapter H2940 is used with compatible older Signia BTE hearing aids that use the corresponding ThinTube connection.
Known compatible hearing aids include:
- Signia Motion 13 Nx BTE
- Stretta M / M-T
- Stretta HP / HP-T
Signia documentation for Motion 13 Nx shows the ThinTube adapter as a separate component between the hearing aid housing and the ThinTube.
V2 ThinTube Adapter
The V2 ThinTube Adapter is a small replacement connection part for compatible V2 ThinTube systems.
It helps create a secure connection between the hearing aid and the thin tube. Compatibility depends on the exact hearing aid and tubing system, so the V2 adapter should only be used when your current setup uses this adapter type.
How do I know which adapter I need?
Signia has used several ThinTube systems over the years, and the adapters are not universally interchangeable.
The safest way to choose the correct adapter is to check:
- The exact model of your hearing aid
- The type of ThinTube currently fitted
- The shape and connection of your existing adapter
- The item number, if available
If you are replacing an existing adapter, choose the same adapter type as the one currently fitted to your hearing aid.
When should a ThinTube adapter be replaced?
A ThinTube adapter does not need to be replaced at a fixed interval. Replace it if it becomes damaged, cracked, loose or no longer holds the ThinTube securely.
If your thin tube repeatedly comes loose or no longer aligns correctly with the hearing aid, check both the tube and adapter for wear before replacing either part.
ThinTube adapters and newer Signia EarWear 3.0
Newer Signia hearing aids can use the ThinTube 3.0 system, which forms part of Signia EarWear 3.0.
EarWear 3.0 uses a newer one-piece ThinTube and connector design, so older standalone ThinTube adapters should not automatically be assumed to fit these hearing aids.
Always match the replacement part to the ThinTube system already used by your hearing aid.
